SOAR Consulting offers tailored consulting, training, and coaching programs for its clients to engage their employees in ways that reduce turnover, improve team collaboration, and manage change more effectively. Multiple tools and methodologies, such as CliftonStrengths (aka StrengthsFinder) and Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), are used to increase employee engagement and foster team development. This focus contributes directly to higher retention, better customer service, and greater profits.

Lucinda was destined for a global career starting from childhood as she grew up wanting to travel and see the world! To date, she has lived, worked, and visited more than 40 major cities and 12 countries. Lucinda loves to teach, coach, and consult with high impact leaders who know it is vital to use positive language to solve problems, collaborate more effectively, and keep their best employees. Her clients include Fortune 100 corporations, local businesses, and techies who want to succeed in the corporate world. Lucinda is a co-author of 101 Great Ways to Improve Your Life.

Lucinda is an experienced Strategy & Communication Change consultant with 25+ years of global business experience leading complex programs in USA and Europe. She’s led programs focusing on technological change, process improvement, and organizational change. She has 12 years of global management consulting experience in business transformation, process improvement, technological change, and organizational change communication. Lucinda is known for her ability to collaborate at various levels of an organization to address stakeholder concerns and achieve desired results. She has succeeded in senior management roles including project/program management, service delivery, and business strategy execution. She offers a unique perspective from her business and technology work experiences to “connect the dots” across an organization. Lucinda delivers cost-effective results to improve customer service, employee engagement, and operational excellence.

A few specific project/career highlights

  • As an internal consultant at American Express, Lucinda led a transformation initiative in partnership with colleagues from Credit Operations, Strategy, Compliance, and Risk Management. This initiative addressed a $5MM loss by implementing new customer treatment strategies including organizational change support for front-line operations. She also led the creation of a new team structure to streamline operational processes with the goal of improving the customer experience.
  • As the SharePoint product manager/owner at American Express, Lucinda managed the migration of 4,000 internal SharePoint sites within 9 months to achieve $425,000 in cost savings. She was responsible for all organizational change activities including migration-specific communications, product training, and customized support for internal site owners.
  • As a contract consultant with a healthcare provider organization, Lucinda led a team of 25 individuals through vendor selection process for document imaging software to be used across 32 hospitals. Process included evaluation criteria, vendor comparison, and financial analysis. Result was a unanimous agreement on the chosen software.
  • As a BearingPoint consultant at a healthcare payer organization, Lucinda identified a multi-million dollar risk associated with one individual being ultimately responsible for the accounting month-end close procedure. As part of a separate engagement with an embedded computing organization, she supported the business unit CIO to establish a Program Management Office for status reporting, issue tracking, and risk mitigation activities for 14-20 information technology projects.
  • As an Ernst & Young consultant, Lucinda led an 18-month Oracle CPG software implementation for a consumer products company. She managed 6-9 resources accounting for $4MM of $16MM budget. Lucinda advised Vice President of Customer Service & Logistics on the organizational impact of the system implementation and managed all organizational change management activities. Her team identified business process changes to improve order management and order fulfillment activities. She also provided functional expertise and resolved issues with manufacturing facilities & distribution centers during implementation.
  • As an Ernst & Young consultant based in Europe, Lucinda managed organizational change activities affecting ~4,000 employees across six facilities and five countries for an Oracle software implementation. She and a client colleague developed a European Manufacturing-specific communication plan and process, defined employee roles, and mitigated implementation risks.
  • As an Ernst & Young consultant, she led a 10-member client design team to redesign workflow systems and define employee roles and responsibilities in an oil & gas company. She also created change-specific employee communications including sponsor presentations for small groups, updates for company video monitors, and written employee bulletins.

Lucinda holds a bachelors degree in English/Business & Technical Writing and French from Kentucky Wesleyan College. She holds a master’s degree in Human Resource Management (specialized MBA) from Purdue University. Her superpower is teaching leaders how to harness the Strengths within their teams to deliver successful business or project results in shorter timeframes.
